Building on the success of our University of Maryland – National Cancer Institute (UMD-NCI) Partnership for Cancer Technology’s annual workshops, the symposium is designed to foster interactions with research centers at the National Cancer Institute, including the Division of Cancer Epidemiology and Genetics, and other NCI divisions involving epidemiological research.

This event is a joint effort of the University of Maryland’s College of Computer, Mathematical, and Natural Sciences; A. James Clark School of Engineering; School of Public Health; the Biostatistics and Risk Assessment Center (BRAC); University of Maryland Cancer Epidemiology Alliance (UMCEA); and the University of Maryland Marlene and Stewart Greenebaum Cancer Center (UMGCC).

Please go to http://brac.umd.edu/~CancerSymposium2014/Main.htm to register for this Symposium.

The UMD-NCI Partnership for Cancer Technology currently funds a number of interdisciplinary projects between NCI scientists and University of Maryland physicists, chemists, biochemists, computer scientists, mathematicians, and engineers. Often, these research collaborations are initiated at the annual workshops presented by our Partnership.

Whether you have concrete ideas for interdisciplinary projects, data suitable for quantitative analysis, or new experimental/analytical tools that you feel may be applied to cancer research, we encourage you to present them at our upcoming symposium in poster form. There will be ample time for discussions during the poster session. Please submit your poster abstract at:
