Abstract
There is a seismic industrial shift in progress which industrial robotics cannot escape. Industrial robots are repetitive, robust, accurate and built for structure environments. These robots need to be adapted to solve present and future challenges such as unstructured environments, friendly interaction and autonomy. Robotic perception is one of the key technologies to address these challenges. My talk will present the robotic perception research I have been involved in the last couple of years at ABB Corporate Research.
Biography
Remus Boca is Senior Principal Scientist with ABB Corporate Research Center in Bloomfield, CT. Remus grew up in Bucharest, Romania and received his PhD from University Politehnica of Bucharest in 2001.
